fundación Social Camino de Maria

A brighter future for children and adolescents through education.

We prepare children and young people for school education, while supporting families and integrating them into a community.

Together we are stronger!

Four years after the passing of Sister Luzdary Cardona, founder of the Camino de María Social Foundation, her legacy remains more alive than ever. Thanks to the contributions of individuals and organizations who generously donate their time, food, or financial support, we are able to help many out-of-school children, giving them dignity through evangelization, access to education, and proper nutrition. Join this beautiful cause and help us change a child’s life with your contribution.

Beneficiary population

We serve children and adolescents aged 8 to 16 from households facing high socioeconomic vulnerability (low-income and extreme poverty), located in areas adjacent to the organization's area of influence.

A key characteristic of these families is housing instability, which often results in the disenrollment of many children and adolescents.

This population is underserved by the state, as they are not enrolled in school and lack accurate information.

In the last two years, we have served an average of 150 families: 98 Colombian, 42 Venezuelan, and 10 Colombian-Venezuelan.

By July 2025, we had served 132 families: 84 Colombian, 36 Venezuelan, and 12 Colombian-Venezuelan.

Location and area of influence

Our Foundation is located in the La Paz neighborhood, in the southwest of Barranquilla. We serve a highly vulnerable population residing in nearby neighborhoods and small housing groups, facing extremely precarious socioeconomic and sanitary conditions. All of our beneficiaries have easy access to the Foundation.

How to donate

Join us in our mission to promote the education of children and adolescents.

Your contribution allows us to provide schooling for children and teenagers who have been left out of the education system due to poverty, displacement, or family instability. Each donation becomes school supplies, uniforms, transportation, meals, and—most importantly—a chance at a better life.
